Hi miridu, i have a fair experience with editing and handling cameras. I want to pursue my passion of narrating stories of my life while being cinematic. I want to buy a mirrorless camera and a hood all round lense for making videos, i stumbled upon sony a6600 and sony zv e10, but after looking at this i want to reconsider. Please suggest a camera and lense combo thats cinematic but at the same time not too overkilled like the a7r

Buying a camera totally comes down to your specific needs and requirements. ( also budget ) If I had to go for one camera and one lens that's "relatively cheaper", I would go for the new s5 mark ii and the 35mm f1.8 , it's totally underrated.

1:48 The log color profile you explained.. do you think it is ideal to capture a flat log profile for 8bit recording camera users? I heard 8bit is not good to work with colours which is why flat log profiles like slog3 isn't recommended. So if it is that, then which log profile would you suggest us to record with?

In a properly exposed environment you can definitely shoot LOG on even 8 bit cameras to get the maximum flexibility however it ultimately comes down to shooting environment. I would suggest you checkout all the color profiles of your camera and choose one that's not too contrasty and saturated. For example in sony camera's I use HLG color profile in low light situations

SLOG 2 in general good lighting environemtns - HLG for low light/ dark - use SLOG 3 if you have an external video recorder like a NINJA V - that way you can save some of the detail in post. These are for 8 bit - 10 bit SLOG 3 should be good (assuming sony as you mentioned slog)
