4:20 Working around vs Real progress. When you start and mess up you can go back to correct and try again. When we don’t start we never truly pursue the goal. We inevitably have to wait for something. That’s when to complete work around tasks. Example: do the marketing plan for a book while illustrations are being completed not before. Thank you for this! I tried something similar for my planned/identified yealy goals - in order to set the target, break these down, reviee quarterly and achieve them over the year, but liked this single page idea for each abstract goals to achieve with milestones. Her point about working on your goal rather than around it made a lot of sense. It's so easy to get caught up in the preparation phase and avoid taking real action. Great reminder to focus on what truly matters.

Even though I know the research, I *still* get stuck in the preparation phase sometimes! It's very easy to do - and I think a totally natural, human thing. Maybe we even *need* to spend some time in that safe space, every once in a while... but the real progress comes when we work on those real actions 💪 Something I still need to remind myself!
