This worked great. Awesome video, brother. Thank you. One thing, it took over a day for the option to show up in my radio, but once it did it works great. I can get turn by turn on my 7” EVIC and see live traffic updates on Waze on the radio while listening to Pandora. It’s perfect.

That is cool, I didn't know then new 8.4s can do this... I have the first gen 8.4 and now I'm seriously considering upgrading, however the Chrysler was always so much worse than Google Maps in recognizing Lanes, I guess I would really need to know if it's better now

Iv been trying to do this to mine, all i get is the written instructions to turn on my cluster. I don’t have the same options in alfaobd that you are using. Am I doing something wrong?

Any way you can change the splash screen when you first start the truck? Bought one and it says Bighorn. Would rather just had the ram head or something else because idk what model i have

Hot Damn that's sweet! Love your videos and upgrades! Now I have a 2014 ram with a 2014 ra4 nav radio that I put in, and a 2015 7" evic, but it's not displaying the turn graphic. Just the numerical and street name, turn by turn is enabled in truck and radio, any suggestions? Should I try a 2014 7"evic? Thanks!

Drive a little bit with it on and see if it pops up, set a destination and take that route. See what happens?

Thanks for the advice but I tried that, so I guess maybe another evic cluster? Your thoughts? That's what is being said on the Ram Forum, some others having the same problem, did you have it pop up in all the clusters you've had, didn't you have another evic prior to the one you have now? Did you ever get it to work? I just ran into this issue with my 14 1500. I put the updated radio in. I got impatient and turned turn by turn in cluster on through alfaobd. Driving me crazy but the new radio was stock with turn by turn. I just turned the feature back off through alfaobd and everything started working as it should again. Hope that works.

So I had the stock r4an with factory nav, it has turn by turn built in with the animation. I upgraded to the uaq with factory nav which turn by turn was there already with the animation. I got impatient and must have accidentally turned this feature on in alfaobd when it was off. So having it through the factory nav and then turning it on through the bcm if it was originally off actually creates confusion in the computer and turns the animation off.

Can u get nav from Alfa obd? My truck doesn’t have nav on radio.

I believe the radio must be Pre-programmed, this will only unlock what was already there but not set to on.

Sometimes it doesn’t work, unfortunately there are missing parameters. On my 2021 ram 1500 when I activate srt it disables 4x4, very weird. Works on my 2015.

Joshua thanks for the reply. I gave up and never got it to work. On mine I upgraded the ECIC and the Radio. It is checked on the radio.

If you ever want to give it a try I would try turning off turn by turn in the bcm if you can.
