I have been a hvac technician for almost 20 years making $180-$220 a year selling repairs and units. I’m and the process of getting my ROC license to start my own company. So I love listening to your podcast

So what exactly do you pay help

Hey Jerred, Please tell me how you would go about quoting a blockage, I hate hourly rate as my competitors with bad reviews have mostly come from charging clients hourly, But when it comes to blockages you dont know how long each blockage will take and you can never guarantee you will clear it. How would you navigate this forward to the customer, Id love to hear your thoughts.

“We will snake the pipe with our cable to attempt to get the water level in the pipe to drop. Usually we know whether it will work in the first 5-10 minutes. You can stick around and watch me or I will come inside is anything interesting happens.” Say this after it’s sold then get at it. If you’re snaking more than 40 minutes, there’s a big problem or you’re using the wrong equipment. (Maybe it needs a jetter)

Love listening to videos and daydreaming but the work force isn’t there and customers that have that kind of money I guess relocate right

There is no way to charge what you say in rural America or Arkansas where I’m at

Well in rural places there arent many plumbing companies because nobody wants to do it and the companies that do exist are probably extremely busy. People get desperate. People arent gonna live without working showers, toilets, and sinks in 2024 and those companies are their only choice.
