A general tip for those who got used to other classes. Do not. I mean DO NOT hold the parry button because it will automatically go on Blocking mode. A fencing melee doing blocks makes you easy to stagger. And trust me, you do not want to get staggered by Majors in a swarm. Because sometimes, the stagger animation is uninterruptible which makes you just take hits from the swarm. Just tap the parry button whenever you hear the Parry sound rang after giving it like a quarter of a second or when the enemy's weapon are up high or down low for half a second.

Parry on bulwark's is so different compared to Venguard for example. On Venguard I can parry 5 majnoris and extremist with chains sword and on bulwark I'm dead...I will try non fencing weapons next time

I’m really enjoying it too but I do hope they make the difficulty a little more dynamic. Right now it really only feels like a HP slider which isn’t fundamentally an issue but shouldn’t be the only difficulty modification. I want more enemies and maybe something like multiple extremis at a time on the highest difficulties. Once you get the hang of the game pretty much all the difficulties feel exactly the same which is going to get old after a while

Great tips on the perfect parry! I feel like it’s harder to get the timing with the Bulwark because of the shield.

Besides the timing (which is generous on fencing, I often play balanced because I've got the timing down anyway, and it staggers me less when I do actually want to block) the biggest trick on bulwark is to really just CLICK the parry button, of you hold it for even a split second longer than a click, the bulwark switches to block. Once I realised that, I stopped fumbling my parries!

just dont try to block the extremis type, always parry or dodge with them, lets you absolutely beast them also with the minoris you only want to block when you can be a wall for your mates behind you, so they can shred them with their guns OR you see yourself in a very big swarm an need to set yourself back a bit otherwise parrying also beasts swarms of minoris and often gets you a window of counter attacking to get armour back

Bulwark has a parry issue for me: I am used to all other classes just pressing and holding the parry button to get parry. But for Bulwark if I do the same It gives me a block. Retraining myself to tap instead of hold is a me issue. I wish there was something else for Bulwark which would make the parry exactly the same as other classes. Thanks for the video.

Bulwark's parry will need fast double tap the parry button. If you just do one tap usually it goes to block mode.

Everyone should know the heavy sword combo with Bulwark, if you tap attack then wait, he'll get into a stance after swinging, if you tap attack again in this stance he'll do a huge 360 sword AOE attack that melts everything!

I leveled the powered sword to relic and I love it but now i’m leveling the power fist any tips I choose the top route in the upgrade tree it allows 100 percent contested healing with power attack but until I unlock the fencing version only available in the purple tier I can’t parry! Since the spawn change aka increase been using Bulwark more. Ran a level 5 tac through 1st Nid mission on 2nd difficulty setting. Ammo being chewed through 😆. Ran level 5 Bulwark such a difference even when getting the OTT swarms.

No, its a game mechanic . Just atack with range/melee restores small amount. Parry shot gives more. Finisher fills up all white HP

The gun shot has been so inconsistent lately, I go to gunshot something and I just get smacked up relentlessly during the animation, taking all damage, lose all health and armor just to be rewarded with my 1 armor blip at the end of it.

I feel like the shield is useless? Like why block when you can just parry instead? Even on other classes perfectly parrying minoris enemies insta kills them, whereas on bulwark you get swarmed by minors and wrecked. It’s just harder to parry on bulwark with no trade off

I feel like 90% of the time the "parry" animation just plays when you press block, and you look dumb and take damage. Gunstrikes are ok and fun, when they work. Just shooting the floor the MAJORITY of the time becomes less funny when you die thanks to it. Also the fact that most enemies on difficulty 3 and higher can just backstep out of the way of your sword makes melee kinda useless against range enemies, so like 90% of the actually dangerous stuff.

Even in the small units, Tzangors take 4-5 hits on ruthless while little tyranids take 3 and Tzangors are much harder to stagger into a gun strike due to their shields. Rubrics and Terminators also feel much tankier than Warriors/ Raveners and have more AOE and unparryable attacks. unless you are using a sniper for headshots chaos is way harder. Are you testing these builds on minimal/average or what?
