I'm old and getting ready for the end. Had lots of credit cards, and I used them to try and start a business. Two Black Crips broke into the garage. I had been storing my supplies in the garage. Without the tools. How do you earn the money to pay back your credit card debts? I was in a wheelchair at the time. If I was taking my medication, it allowed me to walk painfully, but I could walk. I'll never have enough money to pay rent. At one time in my life, I did earn enough money to pay rent rent, and I never needed credit.

My scores toast! The interest hit 30% and I had to let my cards go. 😓 Only half was going to my bill so I was trapped at my cards not going down. Then the few I kept and was paying... they waited til I was almost paid off and then canceled me. So now at 61 my score is destroyed. All from the B.S. since COVID.

Well Lisa after 7 years some things are removed from your score. That's only bright side. And I've learned that Chime banking is very helpful. My score goes up 3-4 points a month.

You're crazy if you use credit cards in this day and age with interest rates almost thirty percent. Just pay them off and get out of debt.The bank doesn't need any more money at least not From us.

I like using my credit card. I pay my biggest utilities with it and get 2% back on those payments. Since it’s money I’m going to spend anyway. I just pay my credit card back off after that. Enjoy the little bit I make back on it.

I don't write checks and never let anyone have my bank debit card number, 0 people have access to my bank account! Charge everything thing on my four cc cards and pay off every month! I have a max credit rating!

Ok One thing most people forget about medical expenses Especially if it's a hospital bill, go to the hospital, talk to billing, they have "donors" that donate money to pay off medical bills. It falls under the "good Samaritan act", doesn't hurt to ask. Also, if it's a dr/hospital bill, set up a payment plan, in some states, it can be as low as $5 a month, and if they refuse even 1 payment, the debt is considered "paid in full" and that will also boost your credit report. I had a friend that was on a $50 monthly payment plan, she got sick, only sent in $25, they refused the payment (because it wasn't the full amount), 10 days later she got a notification it was "paid in full",
