This is exactly what I was looking for,I would say I'm running to fast during my tempo run as it takes me about 5 days to recover from the soreness

While everyone is deferent and adapt to training in deferent ways, my question is approx how long does the adaptation take? For say an intermediate runner weekly avg 35-40 miles, who starts a program like you mentioned. On the graph, is most progress gauge in a 12 week cycle or less, thanks in advance for your feedback. Happy Holidays!

Most adaptations occur in 1-4 weeks depending o what we're talking about. Aerobic work takes longer while speed/intensity adaptations usually occur faster (and become detrained faster as well). See: instagram.com/p/Cejlwq1vn_f/

Is there also a time scale at which the adaptation takes place for a certain workout ie does your body adapt quickly with a long run, threshold or tempo runs? These are all qualty workouts but are there specific workout you recover from faster?
