I have modeled quite a few things in blender, I’ve done some simple vfx in after effects (check my video “future is now” it’s honestly rad I’m proud) but yeah it’s getting the scenes tracked perfectly and actually adding the object in. Is this pretty typical to ad in the ground cracks like that do other people blend the cracks in and also add in physics destruction? Or does it just really come down to how crazy do you want to get with it? I have seen some other people destroy ground in front of them and the ground would crack and pieces would fly everywhere. I am assuming it is a blend of what you did plus more physics in blender?

Thank you for the feedback :) I personally don't use Fusion, but you can really do the compositing in any video compositing software tool you might have available - the process is pretty much the same, but the individual steps would differ (especially in a node-based compositing tool such as Fusion) :)

Superb as usual. Very informative and easy to follow. Quick question if I may. Does C4D lite have limits on the output quality of renders? I’m thinking of learning Blender in full and using it exclusively. I’m just used to using C4D lite but wondering if I’m coming up against limitations because of this.

Blender is not a great tool for video compositing in my opinion unfortunately - I prefer to use AE :)

Why people think that part 1 is enough for them Part 2 has less views from the part one 😂😂😂

A lot of people don't have the patience to learn the techniques, they just want the 'quick show me the buttons I need to press' approach - which isn't really my style :D

Why don't you make it a bit advanced by including interactions, simulations etc

Because this is only part 2 of this series

Help! I am trying to duplicate the effects found in this MLB video (linked below), where contemporary footage (in color) is blended with vintage footage (black & white). How would I go about putting this together in Mocha Pro? Would the above video help? I'd like to ask or see if there are other videos that might better apply to the effect I'm going for. Check the link below - I'm trying to do this exact effect: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jH3OlHt9ht-BZtU

It's a mix of techniques such as rotoscoping (can do that in Mocha), camera tracking (can do that in mocha or in AE) and compositing (which can be done in AE) :) You need to cut out the player/element you want from the new clip. Then you need to motion track an old video clip that you want to place that player into. Then you need to place the player and composite them into the shot :)

@@SurfacedStudio Thank you so much for the reply - very helpful info. Any video links you could provide that could help with the processes you outlined? Would the above video work?
