ohhh I guess they really do have to be moving in the clip

The movement of the effect is based off movement within the clip itself - if you have footage with no movement it wont work very good

After adding the effect, the color does not appear and the video lags

The lag might be a live rendering issue when you play it back - an effect like this is very demanding - you might need to pre render or save the file to preview it
