How to Add a Logo in Final Cut Pro

I wish there was a way to save a logo as a template so that I could use it all the time without having to to in finder to find it but thanks for this. It helps.

I know what you mean - a logo template would be nice! You could put it into a compound clip and reuse it.

You can make the text transparent but not the background.

Great video. I'm trying to get my logo to be in the right corner. In iMovie, the yellow lines would simple stop and show me. In FCP, I can keep dragging the photo all the way beyond the actual border. Is there a trick to consistently just have the logo be in the lower right corner where I'm not guessing if any is off the screen or too far away from the "walls" of the corner? Thank you.

Got it. In FCP, there's no "snapping" with the borders. I suggest you turn on the safe zone lines and use transform to precisely move it to the corner of the outside box.

@@StupidRaisins Appreciate the tip on this. I would not have known to even search for the safe zone. So I turned on safe zone and used transform to move and size of course. There were two yellow boxes and I put the logo square in the corner of the outermost box. When I generated the video, the logo is just dangling out in space. I uploaded to KZbin and watched from my monitor, my phone and my iPad. On all of them, the logo is dangling out in space. Only way to get it to be in the corner, is to manually move to the corner as before. I'm puzzled by the safe zone and on what devices this logo would look normal. I'm placing it outside the yellow "safe zone" but it's the only way it shows up correctly. I clearly have a lot to learn with FCP.

How did you get to only apply the transition to the logo? My transition get stock on the main video instead of just the logo.

I just dragged and dropped it onto the logo clip layer in the timeline.
