I've used several of your videos when installing my Pioneer AVH 2300NEX. I appreciate you both for your help and dedication to the do it yourselfers. Extremely Useful. Thanks

Thanks for the video. I tapped into the existing connection with no success. I was thinking about it late and figured I must have to disconnect the green wire from the car side since the car side is what I was simulating with the bypass. Your video gave me the confirmation I was looking for.

Great video. I have a 2013 civic lx coupe(w/o nav)and I started putting together everything I need to install a pioneer avh 4200nex. I've been watching a handful of your very informative videos and yet feel I'm missing something. My vehicle has a an aux port and USB(controls ipod not just power) and display for back up as well as clock and mpg,etc. that's where my problem comes in. I bought a metra harness, the dash kit, bypass and originally bought the metra axxess aswc-1 then noticed another one of their products was a kit for the back up camera support(metra axxess hdcc-1). I ordered it and sent the other back. I just realized today when reading the instructions that I still need the aswc-1. Now I'm just confused. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

+SpickyThePirate Metra/ Axxess sells the harness separately from the adapter. So you will need both.

Hey guys, all of your videos are great. Thanks for taking the time to make them. Can you make a quick video for installing a bypass on a Pioneer AVH-X491BHS with a maestro harness? Please.

+Scott Spurlock we are doing a Maestro on a 4200 Friday. It is the same process. We will fill it and put in Sunday's nights Vlog( the installer Diaries)

Thanks for the video guys. I installed my AVH-X491BHS with the Masetro RR and the Ford harness, but on the Steering Wheel Control cable there is a blue/yellow wire that does not show a connection in the wiring diagram. Is that supposed to be used? If so, where?

Great videos including this one! Planning on installing a Pioneer AVH-4800bs with an Axxess harness... do I have to connect the bypass parking brake wire to the Pioneer power harness AND the Axxess harness as well?!? Any help is appreciated!!!
@FiveStarCarStereoInc7 жыл бұрын
Jon Figg Thank you. the parking break lt. Green wire and the bypass green wire only go together, no other wire.
@FiveStarCarStereoInc7 жыл бұрын
Jon Figg just the Pioneer, cap off the Axxess side.

I added the micro bypass to my AVH-Nex4400 just as shown in your video and the vehicle will show video in the Drive position but as soon as I accelerate the video while go back to being blocked. I connected the green to the radio side light green and the ground to black and remote to blue/white. Do I need to disconnect the VSS wire or speed wire?

Thanks for the video! Do you recommend pulling the harnesses out of the car or trying to do it in the dash? Also, if I can do it without pulling the harnesses out of the car is it ok to do this install without disconnecting the battery? I don't want to have to reprogram
@FiveStarCarStereoInc8 жыл бұрын
Steven McMullin yeah you can do it in the dash, just make sure to use some sort of protection for the dash. Maybe a couple of towels. No you do not need to disconnect the battery.

ok, I went for it and the bypass is working. Unfortunately my steering wheel controls went away... turns out the input from the PAC came loose putting the head unit back in dash.... doh! pulled it out checked all connections, put it back and all is good! Thanks guys!

Interesting... As i HAD a pioneer AVH-5700 in my 2006 corvette that install shop did and i saw that they used the PAC OS-2bose so as i can keep chimes and onstar working if i wanted it. and all i had to do is put e brake on to see all setting's as i dont need to see video's... SO i just finished pulling that deck out and replaced with a Alpine INE-W960HDMI... But what i did was just tie it into the harness that comes with radio.. And my deck works. So i actually have my bypass between radio and the OS-2Bose... Do you feel this is a problem ?????????. radio works and it show's its getting the fake e.brake signal.. Seems it be same thing as your doing.. ?

Hi! I was hoping to ask a question. I am halfway through the install of my ILX650 with the 450 amp using the 4wire bypass. I am using the green, black and blue wires from bypass going to ebrake wire from radio, black to ground which is connected to the radio ground and 450amp ground, and blue to remote. The remote wire from bypass is connected to 450 amp and radio remote. I dont have access to the usb menu so was wondering if I missed something?
@mikebihg28724 жыл бұрын
You use the yellow instead of the blue if you have an alpine
@1up1up8958 жыл бұрын
quick question. want it be alot easier to connect the green wire to ground to bypass the ebreak?
@FiveStarCarStereoInc8 жыл бұрын
+manup man not on a Pioneer, Kenwood yes, these radios need an on off on every time you turn on the car
@steelman863 жыл бұрын
When you strip two parallel wires, strip them about an inch apart so they never have a chance to short out against each other, even though they are taped!! Better safe than sorry! FYI....

Why is it whenever I have the green wire disconnected when I turn my Jeep on (2015 Wrangler & NEX 3300) and then connect the bypass green to the parking break green after its running, it works. It doesn’t work from turn on.
