I only the basic of adding chairs, there are better tutorials that will show you more complex things about them. Hope this tutorial helped you out.

The Fix for Quest compatibility... Scale the dimensions of the Empty to be the size of the sit-box, then attach the VRC Station. Then when you add the box-collider for PC users, it will be the size of the Empty it is parented to.

I love the tutorial, but my implementation of this only works partially: players can sit, but upon getting up, their location in the world is completely lost and even respawning doesn't reset their location. Can I DM you? fwiw, I looked for the aforementioned "better tutorial" but have found none.

I am finding that even when I attach the default vrc animator for sitting to the vrc station component, the other player is always standing, now the height of where they are behind my avatar’s is perfect just that they look so weird standing. When reading this up folks say you must attach udon behaviour for chairs to seat players properly except then I can’t publish an avatar when the control panel detects udon behaviour is there. Hmmm…. I am kind of out of ideas unless my avatar needs an expression that animates between toggling the seat on or off to work.

thanks for the comment. what I do is I select a bone from the avatar that I want the chair to be on then create an empty object and size the box collider depending on how big or small you want people to see the highlight chair. Next is I give the empty object a component found on the right side of the unity program and I type up vrc station(chair). set the enter and exit position and that's it, nothing else. As for toggle the chair off/on I don't do that because it tends to mess up the chair. but this tutorial only helps moving the char far away and back to the preferred position because this is the only thing that works for me. I'm sorry if this doesn't work for you and I hope to see your amazing creations soon.

@@ajaxturmoil1589 ah thanks for the reminder that your vrc station was on an empty object with the box collider as mine was attached to an fbx model (it actually is a rickshaw 😆). I will try your method and add an empty object under the fbx model.

It works on Quest separately from physbones. (I've made an avatar with physbones and a chair hehe) Just remove the collider before publishing the avatar

@@hacker_one7239 I use sdk3 but sdk2 still works the same. Also good question. So make sure in component of VRC station that the player is kept immobilized, the check box can be either on or off for "can use from station", Animator controller is optional to have, disable station exit must have NO check mark, make sure enter and exit locations are the seat, and API object is also optional. One more thing to keep note of is that if the cube or the collider(highlight) for the seat is too small, it may cause players to stay still after exiting. one way to help them from staying still is for them to sit on a working chair, reset there avatar, or reset the world. Hoped this helps good luck.

When I crouch, the seats stay in the air. Is it possible to have it move up and down with the avatar?

Good question. Make sure you attached the seat onto a bone from your avatar or else it might stay floating in the air.

I am still playing around with this as we are typically putting position or parent constraints on the hips but I find the avatar actually bends at the hips when crouching.

@Nomentir Alque Nomintio Remove the collider before publishing the model. :3 This works on quest, however the seat is HUGE and you can't adjust it. You can try to experiment with using a cube, but I bet you it won't work

@@MarshmallowToazt For quest, the seat will be the size of the Empty. Scale that appropriately instead of the box collider. When you add a box collider for PC, it will scale 1:1:1 and be the size of the empty.

Though I am reading that sdk3 won’t let you properly seat down an avatar but sdk2 could 🤷♀️ the problem with sdk2 it can fail one day
