How to ADD Cars to GTA IV Instead of Replacing Them [Simple]

Are you sure you added all the additional lines of code in their appropriate places? Could also be an issue with your specific mod, like, does it require any additional scripts or mods, etc. Or are any of your scripts conflicting with your vehicles? Just back track, or restart, you might have missed something. If you added multiple vehicles at once, check your launch each time you add a new vehicle. Don't add them all at once, launch between installations. Try adding a single, different, vehicle on a fresh install to make sure that the one you were installing even works, if it continues to crash, it might be due to direct user error such as misplaced handling lines, etc. GTA 4 is finicky, which is the reason I moved onto GTA 5, and therefore I can't really give you much support... It's been years since I've modded, or even played GTA 4.

added the vehicle following your steps. my game crashes....my car read me doesn't have vehoff, also a lot of vehicles that i downloaded doesn't have it. waht can i do?

I'd be able help you easier if I still played this game/had the Steam acc I owned it on... But I don't. It could be the mod itself causing errors. Check out the mod page and look for any bug list or comments regarding bugs, there could be a solution to help you. If you have the mod link, reply with it and I'll look over it. This mod doesn't require any scripts does it? That could be something to look into.

When adding the addon cars into the game, i try to spawn them in but it says "Invalid Model" and ive tried doing everything but nothing works (ive uninstalled and reinstalled the mods and even reinstalled the trainer (i use simple trainer) could you give some info on how to fix this? i cant find any help about it on places like gtainside

what to do if the readme doesn't have the vehoff.csv line??....plz guide me as I really need to add a few cars...also do you get all your added car mods on gtainside...?? Plz tell me if you use other sites...

It's possible it may share a vehoff line, doesn't need one (?), or need additional scripts. I don't play this game anymore so I can't provide a lot of support. I did get mods from gtainside, but I used Gta4-mods a lot more often, Gta4-mods has since closed down unfortunately acting as just a repository now. It should still have most mods downloadable tho.

Those cars are probably released like that so you can add your own. Check with the mod author, I can't help with that, sorry. That's mod specific.

Something to do with the global.gxt or something. I'm sure you can find a mod somewhere, I never bothered to change the names. (keep in mind I haven't played gta4 since this video was uploaded, sorry)

No, you can only spawn them using a mod menu.

@@Simon_r2600 I think I left a part out in the video sadly... did you put the models and textures into the directory, X:/Program Files (x86)/Rockstar Games/Grand Theft Auto IV/pc/models/cdimages/vehicles.img? Also, you should be able to add cars to both IV and EFLC. Edit: Didn't leave it out, I just didn't pay attention to my own video lmao
