Earlier this year, Channel Four made Channel 4 HD the default on Freesat channel 104.
Channel 4 Standard definition, which occupied channel 104 is no longer available on Freesat.
For some users this has meant that they are unable to receive Channel 4 on channel 104, as they have been allocated a weak Channel 4 HD region.
And perhaps using the wrong size of satellite dish for your location, or your satellite dish is not accurately aligned.
You can however add Channel 4 HD channel to your Freesat HD setup box and continue to watch Channel 4 in HD.

Brilliant. I live in SW France and, after fitting a new Manhattan because the old one was failing I found I had lost Ch 4 HD. With this advice I have got it back. At the moment I am not too bothered about losing my old postcode in UK because I don't watch any local programmes there, but if it becomes a problem I believe there is a way to do that without losing Channel 4. Thank you.

For box initial setup, Do i need to set the tv itself to av or go into tv settings b4 setting up the manhattan please?

You select the HDMI input on the TV that you have connected the box to.

Does this have foreign channels like Indian, bangla etc..?

Freesat UK has a handful of foreign channels, but not all of the free to air foreign channels.
