So, is it that you have to see what Audio1 replaces in order to figure it all out? Because it feels like you're putting in Audio1 and Audio 2, but does it replace a specific sound? For example if I wanted to replace the sound of a door opening in Minecraft, is it a certain Audio#?

You can create a folder in the sounds folder like this: resourcepacks\assets\custom\sounds\soundgroup1 then you need to add the path extension into the sounds.json file : soundgroup1/soundfilename.ogg

Hmm the only thing that changed in 1.18 is the pack format (now its 8 instead of 7 in the pack.mcmeta file)

@@ajx0207I think that what was happening to me was that i wasn’t getting rid of bits of text on documents, like their was lines that weren’t showing but where there stopping the file changing into a different file for example my json and mcpackmeta stayed as a text document because I hadn’t deleted some text leading to them being named wrong. Then after that just make sure in the coding everything is copied perfectly. If you’re on java 1.20 like me change the number to a 15 instead of whatever it was in this videp

vielleicht interessanter Hinweis. Das Spiel mag es nicht, wenn die .ogg Datein zu groß sind. Ich hatte es mit einer versucht die um die 19 MB groß war und diese hat das Spiel gekonnt nicht akzeptiert/ reingeladen.

It‘s simple to fix this error! Just change the number of „pack_format“ to 9 in the pack.mcmeta file. For a full list of the numbers and their meaning, you can search for „minecraft resourcepack pack format“

Only if they have your resource pack installed and use it. But you might look for the server resource pack, you can google it. Every player who joins the server will download it automatically

Ok adding a single sound works but as soon as i put down the line of code for multiple sounds EXAACTLY like you have it in the video and in your discord it just doesn't recognize any of the sounds. I have quite literally tried all I can think of trying to fix it and nothing works!

If it doesn't show up, then you did something wrong in the pack.mcmeta. The only things I can imagine is a typo or you don't have your file endings shown so you named it pack.mcmeta.txt Make sure you enable it in the file explorer settings!

If you have a stereo audio you can use: /execute as @a at @s run playsound minecraft:music.creative ambient @s ~ ~ ~ 1 1 This will let the sound play, always at all players (@a). And if you move, the sound will "move" with you.

Instead of using the custom/sounds/... folder you use minecraft/sounds/... You might want to look up the folder structure of the sounds and their names in minecraft here: www.curseforge.com/minecraft/texture-packs/all-vanilla-sounds/files
