Excellent video Martin! I've watched a lot of photography videos, and no one has ever mentioned this topic. The photos you have taken with this technique, are some of your best! I still can't thank you enough for convincing me to buy a 5D mkii. This camera is amazing! I really owe it solely to you, and your videos on it.

Martin, you really do an excellent job summarizing some complex topics. Excellent general advice, as well. Haven't started with a strobe/single modifier yet, but it's in future plans. Love the fact that you show your work from the past as well to demonstrate the points you talk about. As you know, although not having work to back up your point doesn't make it wrong, or incorrect, showing what you mean certainly helps - hate to say "a picture is worth.." You know the rest.

Although reality has dampened my enthusiasm for what I am likely to achieve I still find the instructions helpful. I’ll borrow from Saul Lieter, in no great hurry.

I end up using scrims and V flats to get more precision control in small spaces.
