Another very informative video. Thank you. May I ask if there is a proper way to dispose or handle failed sample batches that's been made. Do you give it away or use them yourself? Not sure if it's right to just throw emulsions in the sink but then again it could be fine since cosmetics get washed off anyway regularly.

Thank you! If the sample is appropriately preserved and pH adjusted, we share with staff, family and friends! If the batch is not suitable for some reason other than a safety risk, we dispose of it in accordance with local waste requirements (typically in the bin). If it were a highly reactive product like a perm or oxidative colourant, or posed an environmental or safety risk, they should be disposed of in accordance with the reactive materials MSDS. It depends on the formula, what is used, and why it is considered failed.

You can in the water phase, but just make sure it can tolerate the alkaline environment and prolonged heating.

If I am doing herbal extract and want to get the scent and the color, whatever dry or fresh herbs, could you advise me use a special method? I am planning to add it to soap mixture, do you advise to add dry extract? Glycerin extract? Alcohol extract? Water extract? And mix it to oil or adding it after mixing the Naoh to the oil
