Adding holidays and time off of resources when you set up the project is a good practice so that the holidays & PTO are not used in calculating the duration when planning.

Hi Nik, do these Holiday exceptions effect milestone dates? I began creating a MS Project 2 months into the project, so dates have been assigned. We are trying to use the calendar (with Holidays) to edit our due dates. When I change the project calendar to include holidays, my milestone dates (deliverables) are not adjusting. How can I fix this? Thank you!

You may have to clear the baseline and set a new baseline so that it is after the holidays are updated

Hi Nik, l want to display delays in my ongoing project, but some of the activities are already finished, and now I want to display delays in that , so I can say to my manager due to delay so much days and hrs we will be completed project on so on date. Do MSP allowed to do that? How?

Yes you can add lags (in the predecessor column you can use 3FS+10d ~ means that the task that is waiting to start after completing the 3 will now start 10 days after the finish date. FF is finish to finish, SS is stat to start , SF is start to finish) these lags can be used and add +X-days to it . Lookup Lags in Ms Project
