HOW TO add LED BAR Backlighting RGB and color changing options to your LED light bar.

Hey guys,
Today Im going over how to add the LED backlighting option to your LED BARS, Pods or whatever. You can apply this to most any LED Bar or Pod option out there. This was a 50 inch ENGO or basically a chinese bar and simple RGB leds and Controllers ordered from China Direct. Let me know if you have any questions. What means did u use to power these? A secondary switch that goes to battery? Or did you hook them up to LEDs?

I run both, Seperate switch panel for the lights and the leds. So i can power them seperately...

Hey dude, Nice idea i just wana ask if drilled 5mm holes into the reflectors onto the mid below of every cone. Wouldnt that become more cool. But i think the focal of the main white smd leds may change due to the rgb leds i am thinking of placing what do u say?

Hey man, how did you connect led strip to ledbar wire?

Its all 12volt power, you can piggy back but that wont give you individual control of the leds, you need to run a seperate wire through the housing where the orginal wire comes through. I drilled a larger hole and ran new wire and then siliconed it back in using black silicone to blend in, then wired the leds into my SPOD for seperate control. Thanks for tuning in! did you sand the optics(Chrome pieces) at all so they don't touch the board? I did this to my Raxiom light bar but it doesn't light up in the circles and i can not see them in the day light at all, at night i can see it but not that great

Man I got the rigid back lit light bar and wanted to do my bumper bar but the ones they have won't fit. If I could do this that would be great

No this isn't a rigid. I was recently picked up by them so I use only their bars now and i know what your talking about their RADIANCE line. Great leds but limited sizes... This is a Chinese Bar or ENGO, like 90% of all bars out there are made in china haha. You can do this with any bar, they are all 12volt. The OPTIC LED bars are better, they are the ones with the OPTIC or BUBBLE projection cone over the LED. The one I have featured in the video are the recessed flood pattern and aren't that great for the backlighting, but still work good.

hey on my light pods, i have 3 wires: a power, ground, and a yellow, what im assuming is for the LED backlighting. ive used the factory fog light wires 2, a red and black to wire the lights, and they work fine. the kit i got with the pod lights came with a remote with different color options on it. how do i wire the yellow wire to receive the color changing signal?

MANCLOCK365 hey I know it’s been a while but I have a 52 inch lightbar and when I switched it from my ranger to my Toyota it changed colors from white to orange... how can I get it back to normal???

Just match the color of the RGB Cable up to the LED strip.. Then use a RGB controller and a way to control it, either by RF, Bluetooth or wifi, manual, thats just preference.
