How to increase our speed in creating a thumbnail or a concept? How do you finish a concept like this only in 2 hours🤯

The color is gorgeous. But how you chose that color wheel below i don't know how it work (sorry for my bad English)
@VictorStaris Жыл бұрын
Hey, thanks so much for watching! So about that, I use the RGB colour picker instead of more common HSB(hue, saturation, brightness). RGB sliders work like, you would use spotlights at concerts, or theatre. Basically I control red green and blue and mix them to get other colours, if I use all three sliders maximum to the right, then you get white colour, and if all of them maximum to the left you get black. And the further apart the sliders are from each other, then the more intense the dominating colour on the right is. Its more complex then this ofc, maybe I will touch it in another video about colour. Hope this helps, try it out

Recently stumbled upon your channel, really impressive! But i was wondering how to find reference images and i find it really hard to start my sketch, do you have any tips?
@VictorStaris Жыл бұрын
Hey thanks so much! Alright I totally get you, its the most challenging part. So it has to do with a couple of things, one of each is your visual library, its like a database of cool visual ideas you keep in mind, you can get those from books, movies, video games, comics etc. Now also, before starting a project, scroll around pinterest or places like this, and create a mood board of things that inspire you and are related to the theme you want, and then of course look for other reference images online that will help you with understanding your subject. Start with simple 2 value sketches showing just the light and dark, in some of my videos I think I show the process of a black and white thumbnail sketch, that might help too. I hope this helps!

Awesome Victor! Do you have a preferred or favorite resolution to work at?(dpi?)
@VictorStaris Жыл бұрын
Hey man, how's it going! So about that, higher resolution usually means more control over the edges, blending and all that. But going overboard with it can slow a bit your pc, I would say 4k wide is the lowest resolution, considering your screen is 1920by1024, but if you have a 4k screen then easily go for 7k or 8k wide image. If you know that you will not zoom in much, then 5k-6k wide is fine too , these are the ones I use mostly.

@@VictorStarisThank you sir! It’s crazy; but I have a decent PC I built myself, and I draw on a Cintiq from 2005;(the original 21UX model).👍🏻👊🏻

do you have any lessons for sale on gumroad?
@VictorStaris Жыл бұрын
Hey Magnus! for now not much, didn't invest time in them, but I am planning to. Btw do you look for something like a more detailed process with commentary, or maybe like fundamentals of digital painting (value, colour )lessons with demos?
@GeltBalthazar. Жыл бұрын
Honestly i go for both of those things, Commentary is always useful to hear from a professional on what there doing as there doing it, as for coulur lessons evreones got a start somewhere, personally I feel like I've got a good grasp on it, but there is always more to learn there
