How to add Promo Codes to your Payable Google Form

In this video we walk you through how to use the recently released feature in the Payable Forms Add-On which is the ability to add Promo Codes.
You can add up to three promo codes which can either be a fixed amount or a percentage discount. Once they are added they will appear on your checkout page.

Great demo. This tool may be a game changer for me. 2 Qs. Can I add quantity fields in the Google form that can be multipled to the unit cost for payment in Square or Paypal app? Can I add discount codes to my monthly subscribers in the 3rd or 6th months into their subscription? In other words, can I appky a discount after monthly customers select submit and have been paying for a few months.

Hey Angela - To add quantities you just need to write out each option today as an answer. Example ( “1 Cupcake - $2”, “2 Cupcakes - $4”, “3 Cupcakes - $6”)

When it comes to discounts / promo codes we only support them for one time payments. Some people have created 2 forms and one has say friends and family pricing and one has full pricing.

I want to echo Angela's first question. While the proposed solution (listing each quantity as a separate option) is workable, it is far from convenient, especially when the quantity is large. Other than that, this looks like a really solid app. Keep up the good work, guys!

Does the promo code work with a recurring payment and if so, does it work on only the first payment (trial membership at half off for the first month)?👍

Great question. Sadly today promo codes do not work with recurring payments. The checkout will not allow you to enter one of there is a recurring item. We hope to improve this in the future. Today some customers will create a separate form, with different prices, like a “friends and family” form with discounts in it.

How do you make a one use promo code so that the same code cannot be used again?

Sadly you cant do that today with Payable Apps - Your only option is to make the code and then remove the code in the future. We hope to add more advanced promo code features in the future.
