I just used this method for my Silk costume, it’s a great tutorial and think it’s way better than not having the shoe part inside like other videos. I actually found a black soul, but if you can’t find it maybe you could use some primer and then paint. Not sure if it would work though

Awesome! I’m glad it worked out for you!! I think that the paint would probably come of very easily if you painted it unfortunately. But no one sees the bottoms of your feet anyway!!

I say just get slippers and cut the soles off with a bit if it of the middle, spray 'em red or black then either glue the bottom on with super glue or liquid stitch ORRR!! Put and put a bit of card or carboard at the bottom on the inside and sew it around if you get what I mean or do what he did which is near the end.

AngLeezard same size as the actual shoe section goes inside the suit so you want it to fit

the bottom of the shoe is glued to the rubber sole on the outside through the spandex. because the spandex is thing it all sandwiches together nicely

Have you removed a pair of soles from a suit? I have a suit where the soles are too small. What is a good way to remove factory glued on soles so I can do your method in your video and add larger ones?

Can you use a blow dryer to get them off? I’d try that first, if push comes to shove you might just need to cut them off. I guess it depends on what’s holding it together

That's a good question! If you wanted it to be screen accurate i would suggest a screen printed spandex suit

Bxtch I’m An Empress you’re more likely to ruin the suit without having the soles on the outside. The fabric could rip and will definitely not be okay after being worn outside. Spandex doesn’t cope well against concrete or just walking around on it sadly

How do you wash the suit then?

I wash mine in the bath and dont put the feet in. You can still put the feet in to wash them but they will obviously take a lot longer to dry

Personally, I wouldn't use flip-flops just because they could potentially just fall off. PLUS you wouldn't have the nice uniform foot look and would be able to see your toes through the fabric. I would say that water shoes are the next best thing for spidey shoes after martial arts shoes

You Could wear them on the inside of the suit but you would risk damaging the fabric on the feet of your suit and ruining it, that's why i glue them in so the suit doesn't get damaged
