In this video I will show demonstrate how to adjust the TRX between the 5 different set up positions. I will also explain which movements fall into which set up position.
1. Short
2. Mid-length
3. Long

Bicep curls and chest press. Good info in the vid. Been TRX’ing for a few years now and swear by suspension strap training. It’s fantastic. .🇨🇦👍🏼

For bicep curls you want the strap in the “short” position. For chest press you want it in the “fully long” position.

This was helpful. Most TRX videos don't explain where to set the length. They just focus on the exercise. One thing I don't understand though is why most of these positions are based on the where the yellow tabs are (with the exception of the mid-calf). Since the height of the handles (your connection point with the TRX) will vary based on how you have the TRX mounted (door jam, overhead, etc.) setting the yellow tabs to mid length for example will put the handles in different places depending on how high the anchor point is. Wouldn't it make more sense to describe the positions based on where the handle falls on the individual (like mid-calf, waist, chest)? This also accounts for people of different sizes. Short isn't going to fall in the same place for someone who is 6'4" as it will for me at 5'8". These positions should be described that way IMO.

Thank you for watching and the feedback. Through my experience, all the lengths are based on a 6ft height of the "MAIN LOOP"

@@vishantdave7924 but what if my main loop is at 6'6" or 5'8" or 7'6"? Do you see my point. Using positions that refer to where the strap is adjusted means the handles fall in different places. What I'm saying is the positions should be set according to the person's body. i.e. put the handle waist high, put the handle mid thigh, etc. This would then be universal for everyone regardless of how they have their TRX mounted.

Thanks for viewing the video. The main height indicator you need to measure is the "equalizer loop". This must me 7-9 ft high. As long as that is within the range, putting the TRX into the short, mid length and long position is all you have to do and it will measure correctly.

What do you do if the cam lock doesn’t hold? For some reason, one side doesn’t stay locked in place.

How old is your suspension trainer? Once you lock it, pull it down to make sure it is locked

Thats odd. It was recorded with an iPhone 11pro. It plays clearly when I play it. Not sure what issue is occurring
