After years of living with subpar hot water temperature in my showers due to the limit stop being adjusted too low, I got to making a video to show others how to adjust the hot water temperature in your shower. This video shows how to adjust it with a Delta Shower Faucet. I hope it helps so you can adjust your hot water temperature yourself and not have to call a plumber when you can do it yourself easily.

After watching this video it only took me 5 minutes or less. My wife had been complaining about her shower water not being hot enuff. Your video was so easy to follow. If you wiggle the disk after pulling it out towards you, then gently pry the disk with teeth outwards.you dont have to even take them off.Re-calibrate the teeth in the left direction for hotter water and to the right for colder.

@Eric DIY Unfortunately, we can't get the screw out to be able to adjust the temperature. We recently had the bathroom remodeled, and we kept the shower fixture because it was still useful. We are concerned that they stripped the screw head when they reinstalled it. We called the contractor, who is a friend to see if he can help us.

Thank you for posting this! I have this same fixture. I took it apart years ago and it was easy to unscrew the handle. Now I am trying to take it apart again, and it's stuck. It is slippery and I cannot unscrew the handle. I tried rubber gloves and a pair of pliers (and have damaged the handle now). It's like it's glued on. ? Any ideas?

Use vinegar on the screw to remove deposits that might be on the screw. You can do the same with the handle if still needed

Thanks for video clip. I have the same model that has been installed over 10 years, it's a Monitor 1400 Series. I need to replace the cartridge, after I unscrewed and removed the handle stick and the tiny screw. I have tried to hold it firmly and pulling very hard but no luck pulling out the handle ( it seems very easy in your clip at 1:37 ). very appreciate any suggestion.

Try running vinegar in-between the handle and the cartridge to get rid of any corrosion in there and try again

I have this valve but mine has a set screw.. how do you deal with that?

Take the little plastic cover off where the set screw is and then use the hex wrench
