One of the complications with elevation changes is not just the height difference but also the lie your ball is on. It's quite possible that going up you need to add on for the height and add on for the uphill lie. And negative in the opposite direction off a downslope to a green below you. This also goes for chipping where you are on an upslope and you can now chip with 1 or 2 clubs less and achive the same result that you would with your normal chipping club off the flat. I think that is the one mistake I see most often. On am upslope and still taking a 60. You should do a video on that.

Great stuff. One thing I’d add - if you’re playing a draw with a right to left wind, the ball is likely to carry a bit farther in addition to being likelier to draw more. Same for a fade in a left to right wind. If you play a shape opposite the wind direction, the ball will carry shorter.

Playa, I’m seeing marking of your disciples on the course. 421 par 4 and about 60 yds off the tee box I see a feather in the ground. I recognize the playas that are lying zero and still have a bag full of confidence!

Also important to remember your ball flight, if you are more like the pros where after your apex the ball just drops with minimal distance after the apex, slope will not affect it nearly as much as if your apex is in the middle of the shot halfway to the hole like an arc.

There is nothing I struggle with more than short par 3s with extreme elevation drop. Actual yardage 110 yds with a 50'+ drop. There's so many courses with holes like that around Atlanta and I don't know that I've ever made par from a situation like that.

IMO the wind is over rated unless you are playing in a hurricane. I never try to manufacture a shot because of the wind. Hit your standard shot + or - a club if you want but don’t try to pull off a hero shot. As the Playa in Chief always says… hero equals zero.
