I love your multidimensional strategy. I took stock of it this winter and improved my 25-50 yard short game and my lag putting so I don’t have 3 putts. I’d love to see a clip on it. Haha! As a teacher the + and - conceptualisation is so spot on. I love a family do, or a party, when somebody has to go to the loo and they say something like, "Nobody touch my dessert when I am gone!" That dessert has gone, the concept was put into everybody's mind. I know players who express worry about the 15th hole when they are on the first tee!! As the song says, "Acccentuate the positive! Eliminate the negative! And DO NOT fuck with Mr. In-between!"

The Pros all concur, the one consistent mistake ams make is over estimating their yardages. Everyone should book a session with Trackman and find out what their yardages actually are with every club and do it in winter and summer as the results are very different!

It would be eye opening for a lot of people. I literally heard a guy telling his girl that you want to hit behind the ball that way the mat guides the club to the ball and you’ll hit a straighter shot. I laughed so hard. I’ll use trackman twice a year. Helps a lot.

Absolutely agree, you need to know your average carry distances, not total, but carry, for all clubs. This is imperative to shoot lower scores. I haven’t met any amateurs who tell me their true yardages with a particular club. I’ve met some tour pros (both major and minor tours) who tell the truth, but not any amateurs. Almost everyone I’ve played with tells that they carry their driver 290-300. When I play with them, they’re carrying their driver 220-230. Their excuse is always that they are having a bad day. SMH

Figured out I miss short a lot, now just take a club more than I think I need. Finally have new irons on order after being fitted to replace my irons from 1999. Looking forward to some additional yardage and figuring out what those are once they arrive.

When asked, the vast majority of golfers will say they take a 7 iron from 150 yards. The only difference between the low and high handicapper is the low hadicapper hits that distance through the air. The high handicapper lands it 25 to 30 yards short and relies on a hard bounce and a lot of roll with their top flite to actually reach the front edge of the green. There is a reason why golf course designers put bunkers at the front of the green playas. They catch egos.

I do not play for exact yardages. Too much stress. I know miss is long and right. Once I know the danger, know the miss I then play the range of front to middle and left to right. Always saying don’t be long actually makes me hit long. Lololol Nice view Mate
