I'm surprised Canada and other countries followed the USA "Pied Piiper" EPA and not allowed the sale of the outlawed carburetor tools. I've been watching out for the new aftermarket 585 carb tool to be available online, without any luck.

I've fixed quite a few of the ZAMA accelerator pump carbs on a 250, FS 45/55 and the like. The O-Rings just get hard from the Ethanol and needs a replacement so long as you know what to look for like the racing and poor acceleration and on purge bulb systems the bulb doesn't fill fully (air leak is present to cause that as it's just sucking air and not fuel). 3mm ID x 1mm cross section Nitril BUNA O-Ring and some Loctite 241 for the butterfly screw.

Your going to 1 1/2 to 1 3/4? Why do the others use 1 and 1 as a starting point? I have several old junk rebuilds that I argue with frequently. Your the expert, please advise.

If for some reason you don't have the correct carb adjustment tool I have had success taking a Dremel with a cutoff wheel and cutting slots into the carb screws so you can use a traditional flathead to adjust them.

Is it possible to order a ported OEM cylinder kit from you for a 372? Its a x-torq that ill be converting to non xtorq. Its my daily driver so sending it in wouldn’t be possible currently.

Hey Donny, Im starting to port my 372xp using inspiration from your videos. Do you ever cut the squishband/combustion chamber in 372xps, and if so how much is a good amount for a worksaw?
@donnywalker46918 күн бұрын
I don’t cut any combustion chambers I do a gasket delete on some saws plus. Some base cutting and port to a good safe number for a good work saw

They'd rather you burn up a saw so a factory has to remanufacture a new one. There are carbon emissions involved in the manufacturing process of the new stuff that has to be made because the equipment burns up from running lean.
