@@NordicWatchChannel I think that the DATE & TIME on this CASIO AE1200 watch should be a larger size. The DATE and TIME on the CASIO model W96H-1BV is a much larger size. I can see the TIME on it easily from 1 meter away ! The CASIO W96H-1BV is my favorite digital watch because it shows the TIME, DATE, DAY and YEAR all on the face without having to push any buttons for selection. You look at this watch and it shows everything all at once.... though the CASIO AE1200 watch is better when traveling to different countries.

Thanks for this! Especially showing the idea that it can be done without the special screwdrivers. I just moved so I don't have much that I can find so I wound up ruining a pair of small nail scissors (yes, even though I saw what happened to your fork). I guess I could start wearing gloves...But the point is, I got it done with the help of your video! It's actually more involved that I thought it would be when I ordered my watch. And I would say that maybe it would help others if they knew that the piece that holds the links together is a flat piece with a small semi-sphere bumping up, so you need to press downwards near the "ball" first and then continue pushing to the outside side until it really comes out. I had it a little out the first couple of times, and couldn't pull the piece out. So I needed to really go under to push it out far enough.

This is my true beater and my only quartz watch: when I need a timepiece while doing (real) dirty work, this is it:) Having big wrists, I sized it using only micro-adjust on the clasp four years ago. I lost 25 pounds over the last year and it had gradually become very jangly. Though I have all the tools and experience to size all kinds of bracelets (Seiko pin and collar: no problem:) this one was kind of a baffling to me, never having had to remove links. This video was, a small strap tool and a pair of pliers: three minutes further all is well again. I set the time four years ago, and it has gained 2 whole minutes in that period. Great watch:)

Very good video. The only problem is I got stuck on 6:36 when you remove the link closest to the clasp. For some reason, it gets stuck/jammed and it does not go far enough for me to grab it with the pliers. What can I do to fix it? It is also very stiff. Thanks!
@NordicWatchChannel Жыл бұрын
Maybe you could try to shoot some WD40 or something int there to loosen it up.. or then just try to force it. they can be quite stiff
@robwerts995 Жыл бұрын
I had a fight with that one for about 20 minutes. If you can get it out far enough you can put a small screw head in the like L shaped part of the link. An insane amount of silicone spray and wiggling it around for 10 minutes did the trick. But damn I needed all my strength for that one!

Video worked perfectly. Only question: the first key (the thing you remove that holds the link together) on the 6 o’clock side seemed a bit larger and thicker and was harder to remove than the other ones I removed. Thank you. Is there a reason the links at the ends don’t want to come out? They are not budging. At this point i sorta opened a bit of the top where the hole and arrow are but that in inside seems to be stuck

I don’t know why they would be but it almost seems that there’s a reason because so many people (including me) have had a hard time remocing them. But they can be removed, they might get damaged in the process tho..

Late reply to this one, sorry about that. I'm pretty sure that they are 18mm!
