This is such a great video. I just wanted to switch out bands & had no extra pins. If I didn't cut myself, break a nail or scratch my watch I'd end up losing the pins! This is simple & easy & saved me from having to buy a package of pins just to use 2. I used waxed dental floss & the pin stuck to it until I needed to attach it to the band. No more lost pins! Thanks so much!

Thank you for being the only video that fully explained the pin mechanism and how it worked for leather and silicone straps. Every other video I watched nobody would explain how it worked what to do even with the tools and their video angle was from the side so it’s not looking down at the watch so you have no idea what they’re doing so thank you for being a confident human being, and obviously you’re very knowledgeable that you could teach it and do it without even using tools. I can’t stress it enough thank you because I was literally struggling for the last hour.

This video was fantastic, thank you very much. Explaining to my son, that many times after crudely getting a knife onto the pin, just as I was releasing it, it would shoot off and ping around the room like a Wyle.E.Coyote cartoon and then the long arduous time trying retrace where I thought I saw it disappear, with sometimes a win and quite a few times a loss. Today you showed me something so simple and brilliant that I had to commend you on this very clever idea, that I stumbled across. While looking to buy a watch tool repair kit, I got one watch all fixed without a wait in the mail for a tool kit. Absolutely Brilliant. Thanks again. Frank

Thanks for putting out this video! Bought a Seiko alpinist and struggled to get a tool in between the stock strap and onto the spring bar. The spring bars were ridiculously tough to compress. Unfortunately got a very tiny scratch on the case and wanted a different option. Exactly what I needed! Out of curiosity, how many times can you replace straps? Am worried that the holes on the case could get worn out over time.

I have a number of takeaways from your video. I had the tool you had. I don’t know where I got it, or what it could be used for. I was not to adept at first with the tool, so I tried the dental floss. I could not get it to come out. When I placed the watch upside down, I saw the a small knob at one end of the bar in a small slot in the bang. I used the tool to move the knob, and everything came off immediately. I regularly replaced my band with a dark brown style. I never threw out the previous one, so I combined the existing side with the perforations with the old one with the buckle and the two loops still decent! You really have to stare at the watch to figure out they are not a matched pair. Thanks for a very nice confidence building video to take this task on.

@NordicWatchChannel2 жыл бұрын
But you should measure the width of the gap between the lugs, not the springbar itself. The sizes are given according to the gap they are supposed to fit. Since they are compressed when put on the watch, a 22mm lugwidth springbar is wider than 22mm..

Urgent question: I took off the metal pin easily but now it seems too loose to fit back in. If i just slightly tug, it comes out again. What do I do?
@NordicWatchChannel Жыл бұрын
Hi! I’d say just place it in, and try to tug it back in place if you have anything to do that with

You might have gotten some piece of fabric in between the metal from the dental floss maybe? I’d also try tugging and pushing it back and forth for a while to see if you can dislodge it or something.
