Thanks to you, I don't need to bring my ebike to the shop for this adjustment. Now the reach is dialed in perfectly for me! Thank you for posting.

Thank you! I bought pads thinking they were worn out. Turns out it just needed adjustment. Search the manuals and around and found nothing about this easy adjustment.

I made the mistake of turning the reach adjustment screw too far.. That little screw only so many clockwards turns before the screw (which is really the rod that depresses the reservoir) That little screw will fall inside the housing of the lever.. The needed parts to fix this are not listed anywhere.. I called Tektro in Ogden to find out that i need to send it to them for a repair.. They told me, don't just keep turning the screw.. and that i more than likely needed to bleed the brake.. If you do an adjustment make sure you remember how many turns (and what direction) so that you can back it up when you bleed the brakes.. otherwise you will find yourself in a similar situation. And that will jam up the internal workings of the lever..

I have a big box with hydros and I could find out how to adjust the lever. Thanks so much for helping me locate the bolt, now my hands can stop getting sores and sore.

If the brakes are spongy, then you may simply need to bleed them, but this is a great video showing how to adjust the reach

@UncleFjester3 жыл бұрын
There isn't 1 magical adjustment, there are many! Which are you referring too? Lever reach adjustment, Cut off, hydraulic pressure, caliper? kzbin.info/www/bejne/bZ2cZqGXgc15mLs I'm sure I have videos for everything mentioned.

Spongy air line brake line, also check the brake fluid level you may find the level very low, I believe the lines were not properly bled at time of assembly in CHINA... most likely used fish oil as brake fluid.
@UncleFjester3 жыл бұрын
Leaded Fish Oil too!😒
