How to Adjust the Blade of Your Japanese Hand Plane

Flatted the sole, it takes really thin shavings, but still, it jams when using the full width of the blade. Why is that? Should I resharpen the blade? They seemed pretty sharp out of the box

Not covered.... I have seen some who tap the side of the plane body to adjust the blade sideways. While not positive, I am guessing this is done if you have tapped the top of the blade till it hits the wood on the side of the body, and tapping on the opposite side will move the blade that way/direction, and then you can set the angle correctly. Also, I am wondering if any one adjusts the blade for a slightly deeper cut by tapping the front of the plane body. It does make a little sense, and I have done it a few times.

My blade is stuck. It way past the bottom. Now I can't remove the blade. Suggestions?

lol they tell you not to tap harder than what it's shown, but the blade is really jammed in. I think it's okay to whack it for the first time
