My tractor has been sitting for two years because a neighbor smoked the clutch, it probably had 10 hours on a brand new clutch that I put in. I’ve been dreading this day but I need my tractor. I’ve found so many mixed specifications but I’ll try 10mm and see what she does. I read 0.1mm on one manual and that seems like I should just run em down all the way and back it off a smidge. I have to adjust the clutch on my Benye 254 Estate Tractor, which is basically the same as your Jinma and the Foton mentioned by a reader. Your video has given me great confidence in doing it myself. Thank you.

Inside the cross support tube on the loader are 2 angle iron safety stands. You insert them inside 2 small square receivers underneath the front end loader frame, then lower it on the ground prior to loosening the pin locks and pulling the pins. Once they are sitting on the ground, you loosen and remove the pins, then you start the tractor and use the hydraulics to slightly raise the loader frame above the loader support brackets and shut off the tractor. Remove the 2 hoses from the quick couplers and then connect the 2 hoses on the tractor side together with the couplers. You can now back the tractor safely away from the loader and it will be supported by the 2 stands and you may use the tractor without the loader attached and simply reverse the procedure to reconnect to it. Make sure you NEVER turn over the engine or start it without the 2 hoses connected together on the tractor side or without them being connected to the loader control valve or you will severely damage the hydraulic pump or the gear-train on the front of the engine.

Thanks for saving me tons of time .the bucket on mine was home built that plate has another mounting plate on it so I can just un bolt the plate off the tractor then off the attachment side

Great video! Thanks. My grandparents have a chinese Foton 404 and the clutch went bad recently. I changed the clutch, but don't have any info on the spec on the clutch pack height, or how it should be measured. Maybe I need to remove the cabin and I would see the access hole, like the one you have under the supports.

I have a Taskmaster which is made by Dong Fong??? and my clutch needs adjustment. I haven't done it yet but this video may totally save my tail. I thought you adjust the clutch by the pedal rod but i see now that is not how it is done. Thank you for making this video!

You probably figured it out by the time you put it all back together, but you only had to take off the one bracket on the left side right in front of your foot, not the entire bucket assembly. The bracket is the only thing in the way of getting in through the side to do the adjustment. I think it's 6 bolts.

If you have to remove the bucket then you can use the jack stands in the tube on the front of the loader.

couple pointers 1. those adjustments must all be EXACTLY the same or chatter and wear will be excessive. 2. NEVER disconnect the HYD disconnects while running or try to start with them disconnect you will blow up the pump. 3. these bolts are all metric, 16, 18 and such. 4. 3 are main clutch adjustments the other three are PTO clutch engagement/adjustments.

Are the 3 pto clutch adjustments forward of the main clutch adjustments? Or rearward?

My 2 stage dissingages front bucket when clutch pushed in past certain point. Problem is it doesn't disengage wheels till right at that same point. Very hard to operate this way. Bucket works then I clutch when I'm trying to bucket something and bucket dissingages. So I have to try and let pedal out enough to engage bucket then wheels engage. Could that be the pedal adjustment?

i have the same tractor how do i adjust clutch if my will not go in gear it grinds same as the PTO doesits like clutch stays engaged

THE BRACKET ON THE LEFT SIDE THAT CONNECTS THE LIFT ARM TO THE TRACTOR IS THE ONLY THING I HAD TO REMOVE ON MINE. FOUR 13/16th bolts and FOUR 5/8 bolts plus your pin, and the bracket slides about 4 inches towards the back and you don't even have to take it down off the tractor. It will sit right there while you do the adjustment. Takes you 20 minutes, takes me 5. You have to LOOK at what you're getting ready to take apart. That's probably all you would have had to do as well.

Does anyone know if there should be a gap between the plates with all of the adjustment bolts loosened ? My tractor won't move in either forward or reverse so I opened this plug just like in the video, loosened all of the bolts and I thought that would allow the clutch to come forward. Even then though I can put a steel rule in between the plates. I adjusted with the pedal disconnected, hooked everything back up and it still won't move. Any ideas ?

I think the main issue is clutch adjustment, the loader attament should not be part of the purpose of the video and a different should been created so that clutch adjust activity be main solving issue.
