Camshaft sprocket fitted the wrong way round and bolt plate not fitted 🤦

Hi I have small question. That bigger sprocket with bean holes on exhaust camshaft you must align it before tightening bolts to TDC or what? What if I misaligned them a bit?

You forgot the thrust washer on the cam shaft . Did you lock the crank ?

Also the crank needs timed, as the timing sprocket bolts should not be so far to the led for right. At the start of the video, I check he marks on the timing and crank and they are not lined up. I am doing my trafic engine at moment and after head gasket and new chain etc shoulds OK but when accelerating it rattles. I belive Imy crank needs timed. As I never checked! When assembling. I double check timing the other day but did not realise I need to time the crank.

If the crank is not at TDC can I turn it without any special tools? Camshaft is still out for the moment

no.. you don`t need any tool to turn the engine you need a 32 mm wrench

I will tell you the reality.. i did like this, i am refering at the method, but after i put all toghether, the car has a hard start, and error code p0380 p0340, i suggest you not to do so.. maybe it works, but, don't take the chance.. i have to open it now and wait for the tool.
