Great video thanks, adjusted my 929 Blade hand levers and now I can lower the gear lever with confidence to get better upshifts at speed to hopefully match the sweet change I had with my previous bike a 5th gen VFR800Fi

I will try. I usually only take this bike to the track so limited time. It is still street legal, however. Thanks for watching and commenting.

I have a 97 honda rebel 250 and when it gets warmed up it doesn't want to shift. What could the problem be I know the clutch cable is maxed out. And I have a new cable coming but if that doesn't work what should I look for?
@RemboUSMC3 ай бұрын
Hey there! Thanks for reaching out. It sounds like you're on the right track with the clutch cable, but if the new cable doesn't solve the issue, there are a few other things to check: Clutch Adjustment: Even with a new cable, you might need to fine-tune the clutch adjustment. Make sure there's the correct amount of free play in the lever. Clutch Plates: If the bike is still not shifting smoothly, the clutch plates could be worn or warped. When they heat up, they may not disengage properly, making it tough to shift. Oil: Sometimes, old or incorrect oil can affect clutch performance. Make sure you're using the right type of oil for your Rebel and that it's fresh. Transmission: If all else fails, there could be an internal issue with the transmission, like worn gears or a bent shift fork. That's a bit more involved, but it's something to consider if the problem persists. Let me know how it goes with the new cable, and feel free to ask if you need more help!

Do you know where to get a longer shift rod for the ktm duke 390/rc? I have lowered footpegs and the standard lever is not long enough

1) your foot shouldn't be resting over the shifter if you're not shifting. 2) same as #1 but with rear brake lever. Your tips of boots should be on the peg. Not your middle foot with tour tip on the levers.

What about setting the gear shift support? I was told it needs to be set 90 degrees to the rod and I'm not sure how to do that?! Do you have a video on that?
@RemboUSMC Жыл бұрын
I don't have a video on that. I only make the adjustment with the connector, not with the shaft.
