If you have wings, you can do an inclination change for "free" during an aerobrake. Jool's upper layers (180-200km) are very hot, so it may be counterintuitively better to drop down to the coldest region at 130-140km to aerobrake.

You are correct. As for using lifting surfaces, I have not found a calculator that is able to account for them. My recommendation is to quicksave before attempting any aerobraking maneuvers.

Nice going, perhaps an idea to make a video about control point orientation? Id tried getting mine out on Reddit but I lack the presence. Posted it a few time, low respons. Too many people with brown navballs, and still get advised its an aerodynamic issue.
