I love this I made my ganyu but never thought of airbrushing the colour on i painstakingly hand painted it with a paint brush 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

Aaaah, but that is also OK! I have done that in the past and it takes forever! But it is easier to control. I'm sure it looks amazing!

Abyss mage ❤️ Both airbrushing and using a brush are good methods. Remember to use fabric paint or fabric paint medium if you are hand painting big areas for best results 😉 Good luck with the mage!

Estupendo! Me alegro de que te sirvan. En cuanto a lo bordes depende. En el caso de las telas pintadas decidí dejarlos sin acabar. Use una vela para que la tela no se deshilachara, pero hay que tener mucho cuidado o no queda bien. En el patrón te recomiendo que les añadas un forro y les des la vuelta.

could you wash your fabric a couple hours later to remove the excess paint? (planning to do this on faux fur)

I don't think so, it may get patchy. For fur I recommend you to brush the hair as you go with a pet brush and perhaps use the hairdryer to dry it

What paint color brand do you use to air brush?

There are specific paints designed for airbrushing, I usually use Vallejo, just make sure to thin your paints when using an airbrush

Which fabric did you used?

The big piece was just lining fabric, very lightweight and slightly see through ☺️ The rest of the dress is satin or crepe

What airbrush brand and paints did you use?

This isn't super important if you are a beginner, I used a cheap airbrush for years until I upgraded to a more expensive Iwata Revolution airbrush. For the paints I thinned down Vallejo and Citadel paints, these have good coverage and are good quality paints. Make sure you use paints that can get through an airbrush, most craft paints won't work.

Odio mucho teñir fibras sintéticas al menos acá hay muy pocos colores de tinte que funcionan para esas telas :( y comparto el sentimiento de los aerografos xD me carga tener que limpiarlos. Quedó super bien igual! es una buena opción

Muchas gracias! Yo use RIT Dye, se supone que funciona bien pero da mejores resultados en algodón y telas naturales. Lo volveremos a intentar en otro momento!
