How to airbrush water drops

hey, i'm the guy with the dodge license plate's out of the two of us i'd say you have the better work!! you'r water drops are wonderful! i'v been meaning to try them but never have ...you have some good videos and i hope you keep making more !

Thanks so much for this - glad I found it - I have started airbrushing, and I am a cookier, so I wanted to try different techniques and designs on my cookies - Love these as I don't have to play around with corn syrup! Cheers

Thanks dude. It means a lot to me. You've got very nice work too!!! I also wanted to try doing water drops without spraying water and using enamel so I just studied a bit how they reflected light and applied it using masking/stencils and that was the result. Try the technique on a plate, and tell me how it went. I'll upload more vids in English in the future. See u around!

I did the stencil with pieces of tape but you can cut Your own droplet stencil by hand or with a plotter with a whole bunch of droplets to simplify the process. If I have the time I'll make a vídeo showing how to make one. Regards.

Nice affect, but a lot easier if you lay a base paint,mother take a spray bottle and put droplets on it, then spray at a very low angle with a darker color...

Tio, además de ser un crack con el aerógrafo hablas inglés de miedo :D, por cierto, quería empezar a usarlo y nunca lo he utilizado, sería para pintar maquetas y cosas mas o menos pequeñas. Ya he visto alguno de tus videos y hablas de los de gravedad que valen unos cien euros, pero luego por ahí ves cosas por treinta pavos, que supongo serán de los chinos. ¿Me podrías orientar un poco? Gracias :)

jrblnk182 muchas gracias... soy profesor de inglés así que más me vale hacerlo medio bien jeje... Lo de los aerógrafos... pues sí, los hay de 30 pavos. Para empezar y ver si te gusta el tema van bien. Para pintar maquetas en plan tanques, aviones y cosas así deberían ir bien. Si lo que quieres es pintar figuritas... uf... no se yo. Un aerógrafo muy usado por maquetistas es el velocity porque tiene un paso 0,21 y da un flujo de pintura pequeño y fácilmente controlable pero son unos 135 euros. El iwata eclipse te permite rociar más cantidades de pintura por tener un paso 0,35, pero con maña también se puede conseguir trazos de medio milimetro o incluso menos (también unos 130 euros). Para probar y aprender tal vez la mejor opción sea un aerógrafo de copa de los baratos con distintos pasos de aguja para que veas la diferencia y compruebes con que pasos te sientes más comodo y te vienen mejor para lo que quieras hacer. Todo depende al fin y al cabo del dinero que te quieras gastar... desde 20 euros hasta 500.
