I agree with the part on them doing it on purpose to get you to take it to the dealership, the 2012 model doesn’t even have the Philips head on top, you have to completely remove the housing because it’s on the backside

Thanks I appreciate the video. We have a 2011 Cruze it should be the same or simuliar. I will look for the screw. I believe it had light front end damage before and apparently the body shop set the fixtures to to low. Looks like you just have to pop the top shroud off to get to those vertical adjust screws.

Yup from what I remember you pop the shroud and you can see it all. I don't have the car any longer but I'm sure you are right.

I have this same problem with my car but the screw is for the left and right of the highbeam not the lowbeam up and down

Philips didn't fit but I ground the taper off of a narrow flat blade screwdriver and it worked good.

you need at least a 8 inch Philips but make sure the Philips is small enough width wise or it wont fit into the hole. and do t press to hard if you do the price could pop out of the headlight and now you have to take the bumper off.

I love my 2012 Malibu but it’s fucking ridiculous that it took me over 2 hours to change out my lights to HID because I had to damn near take off the entire front end of my car to do so. Absurd.

They're a dream lol they help so much especially when you have a 4300k bulb thats crystal white oem hid color i myself love it super bright i have 75 watt hids though

Is it possible, with a long phillips sd, to adjust the up/down aimof the headlights without taking the actual headlight out? Just trying to clarify.. Left/right= take the headlights out. Up/down= leave the headlights in and use a long phillips?

Your left light should be a little lower. Stops it from blinding people on the road
