I played the Year of the Pig minigame as Webber when it first came out, as long as you have the belt the fighter pigs don't care if you're a monster or not.

No need to build one pen with 4 gold nuggets. You can place every gold behind wooden gates. Elite pigs will go to gates with coins - no chance for bug and leaving because every pig have own gate. Just be sure to build one without coin to leave arena! After fight just get all coins in arena, then rest behind gate.

kinda late but you can't have any structures near the pig king when the match begins, you could try placing it after but without special tricks its very hard to grab very many before getting knocked to the floor with wooden signs. Most you'll get is probably around 4-5 or so plus an extra 4 at the end

I gathered many mandragoras, and used pan flute to put pig champions to sleep - though it's not efficent. You have to play flute almost every time Pig King drops nuggets. Also, all of the "normal" pigs keep saying you are a cheater! Gonna try out your way now! 🙂

that sounds good.. but how do you get the first 4 gold nuggets when playing on your own? i have not managed to even get 1 yet. I prefer the winters feast event. The Christmas tree gifts are very good when you have a full tree.
