Love these videos on lip sync. My university course includes animation and I have just came off from doing a walk cycle (not the best in the world) but when they assigned us to do lip sync, I am glad I clicked on your videos. Smooth, soft and straight to the point, I feel more confident in completing the task.

Thank you! This video has been helpful to me because it made me realize things about lip sync that I didn't realize before. Specifically, the fact that your lip sync actually kinda looks more natural if you don't animate absolutely every sound. (Wish I could tell my past self that lol.) Thanks once again 💯

Dang, I wish you'd have shown yourself setting this up rather than just jumping straight to everything being set up. What does the little icon of what looks like a pick axe mean? It's to the left of the "mouth_chart" layer at 1:05 (most created layers have a little piece of paper icon with bent corner, this looks like a pickaxe). I tried importing your photo in that layer in case that's what it meant since you never showed how you got to this part (the setup), but it didn't change the icon. I also tried creating a graphic symbol to see if that would change that little icon and it didn't. I also tried to google the answer but no luck

Thank you for your video! I have a question tough. I'm really lost because I don't know how to keep working with it after creating the first one. I made one Lip synch with an audio File. Then I thought I can just exchange the audio clip for the next audio sequence. But I've run into so many problems like....what do I do with the lip synced keyframes? do I delete them? I don't know how to exchange the audio file in my layer or how to add it from my library. I'm trying to switch the audio file and let the automated lip synch generate new animation but I'm stuck....when I delete the keyframes and let the lip sync run new it doesn't create any new keyframes anymore. It's so frustrating :(

How to use auto lip-sync? I was hoping this tutorial would explain it...
@devonkong3 жыл бұрын
In my experience, auto lip sync doesn't do a very good job so I did not cover that. However, I'm considering recording a tutorial on how to set it up 🙂
@sportshousetv2 жыл бұрын
I followed along but when I go to animate the lip sync, the Frame Picker does not show up unless I click the very first frame which is the closed mouth. If I select that mouth I can see all the others in the frame picker but if I select any of the other mouths on the timeline the rest do not show up. Also all of my mouth shapes show up in my main timeline just as they were in the timeline when I was making them in a symbol. So all of them show one after another. Please help

I'll need more information to be of any help, but here are a couple ideas: Is your layer locked? Perhaps your Symbol is a Movie Clip Symbol?

Thanks for a fast reply Devon! So far I defiantly labeled each mouth shape just like in the video at 5:20 but when I click frame picker... only one shows up
