Lol as someone who's made animations on flipaclip for 5 years, videos like this never existed. I appreciate you taking the time to edit this video to show new animators how to create things in flipaclip! If I was new to flipaclip, this tutorial would've helped me a ton. (There is a wrong way to animate) for the longest time I struggled with making things look natural. So i appreciated you creating this video for others. (Heck this thing would still help me today. Ima save this to one of my playlists) - side note, never thought of using the grid for things like that! Thanks for the tip! This tutorial also helps people that use flipaclip for more advanced things. (Edit) OMG THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I GOT 1K LIKES? TYSM!

On character shading, you can duplicate the lineart and use the bucket tool on the bottom layer. The top lineart will maintain the proper lines and you skip the tedious coloring stage. (Remember to go over any white areas missed by the bucket tool)

@prabhatkarki92742 жыл бұрын
Can someone explain this more for noobs like me?🤔🤔
@moldedapple3412 жыл бұрын
@@prabhatkarki9274 So basically, you draw the lineart for your animation and then go to the layer setting in the bottom right corner. After opening those, you swipe left on the line art’s layer and it’ll give you the option to duplicate it. This is useful for maintaining the lineart because when you use the bucket tool at higher opacities, it also transforms the shape of the lineart to be blockier. However, since the top lineart stays the same, you get the higher quality lines as well as easy coloring. And don’t worry if you accidentally color on the wrong lineart, you can change which layer is on top of the other by holding it and dragging it above the preferred bottom. Just make sure you don’t accidentally merge them. (It’ll give you an option)

Rating these tips with 5 years of experience on flipaclip 1 . You don’t NEED grid. Especially for the animation they did 2 . It depends what kind of look you’re going for 3 . It’s an okay shading tip, but again it depends what you’re going for 4 . The colors thing is just a preference, I don’t personally do it but I have some friends that do 5 . Yes! I use this all the time definitely recommend!
@emerybrown61452 жыл бұрын
I will rate them also I guess because it seems fun. 1. I never used the grid, could be useful but personally I just look at the pixels and move it carefully along 2. Meh, don't personally like pencil tool. And you could just use the circle tool, make it transparent, and squish it down (maybe even fade it too) 3. I really don't know what this is for :/ 4. I personally just copy the line work and then do the shading stuff and then paste it a bunch (so there's none of that weird fade thing? Idk how to describe it.) 5. Meh I usually copy and paste the lines a bunch (again, so there's none of that weird fade thingy? Idk) then fill bucket it at 88% because why not

@@imsocringeandidocringestuf7301 oh no you dont have to like trace it like 20 times or whatever, just use the copy and paste buttons. just like, copy, paste, paste, paste, copy, paste, paste, paste. and repeat untill you dont see faded pixels on your lines. or you could just up the tolerance on the fill a bit.

2:15 kk, i have a solution if you dont have much layers left to use, and have to use one. 1. do lineart 2. copy the lineart with the copy button near the undo, redo and paste buttons 3. do the colors 4. paste the lineart the copy button is RIGHT beside the ruler, and the paste button is RIGHT beside the undo button. Try not to copy anything else after copying the lineart. Hope this helped.

@@wolflplushlnoice because of the way flipaclip works. U don't do it above the lineart layer, u do it *on* the lineart layer, because if you do it above or below flipaclip will just colour the entire screen that colour rather than the lineart, and colouring on the lineart layer always leaves a white outline, so that's why you need to paste the lineart again. However since flipaclip has 3 layers for free, I reccomend l copy pasting your lineart on a layer below your lineart and then just colouring like normal. Means you don't go over your lineart when colouring and can use the fill bucket

not only all the shading tips are good but i want to give a tip of my own: when ever your shading do NOT use just a darker color it can kind of make it look cheap. what you want to do it make the color a bit of a dark blue try to keep the same color just be sure to make a darker and more "blue-ish" version that really helps when shading. and if they are in the dark use a darker blue-ish color but yeah. 👍

For 1:40 technically you can also use paintbrush i think, but I understand the use of the eraser. It just adds more layers to the project, and when you’re working with only 3 layers that’s sort of hard y’know.

Great video! For me personally when I fill in colors and don't want that ugly "seeing the background thing" I use the bucket on the outlines to make the outlines thicker and darker. And when I do shading I add a fram in front and color the shaded areas in with the pen with the help of the onion, then I use the eraser to make it transparent then I copy the frame and paste it over the original.

How can I copy and paste in flipaclip?
@THEDOORDino Жыл бұрын
That's easy, just use lasso and select the drawing or something, then tap the 2 boxes, one is on top, and outlined, one isn't, it is smooth, then tap the 2 boxes, both of them are not outlined, they're smoothly made, and then position the copy, you can also anchor, look for a small circle in the selected drawing, then move it anywhere, and then you rotate, making it rotate from a side, if the circle anchor is at the middle, it will normally rotate, so use the circle and lasso effectivley, they're good for changing scenes, copying and positioning the copied drawing, then anchoring and rotating it.

Depending on how many moving parts,(and if you like cel shading) here's another tip for shading characters: Duplicate the colored lineart to a separate layer, then use the bucket tool to make the copied layer into one *solid* shading color. Then use the lasso tool to take out simple shapes where the light is and shadows aren't, then lower the opacity. Now you have some cel shading!

1. Start with a simple storyboard to plan your scenes and shots. 2. Set up your camera correctly to optimize your shot. 3. Create motion with panning and zooming for a more dynamic video. 4. Use lighting to emphasize emotion and create depth. 5. Try adding visual effects to give your video extra flair. 6. Incorporate sound for a more immersive experience. 7. Utilize conversation, narration, and subtitles to tell the story. 8. Invest in good video editing software to polish your work. 9. Use color grading to balance your images and give them a polish. 10. Always check your video for any errors before exporting.

If you select one part, you can copy just that part onto the next frame. -make your shading on a different layer, lower the oppacity, and USE THOSE BLENDING OPTIONS. -(for prenium) merge your layers. Just trust me on that one. -put your bucket tool on 80% or above before filling anything to avoid the white lines. -lastly, get premium. (Ngl, flipaclip was kinda sucky before I got prenium).
