In this how to video; a guide to replace your anti roll bar link, drop link, ARB drop bar.. whatever you want to call it.
Specifically for a Peugeot 206...
However this type and method of replacement can be found/used on a number of Citroens and Peugeots....and even non french stuff!!!
I hope it proves helpful.
There are other methods and you may have other ways you prefer. That is fine. Just keep it safe!
Thank you for watching, all likes and subscribers are very much appreciated, all comments are read and replied to as soon as I can :-)

You are awesome. Took me 6 hours on the driver side and ended up cutting the bolts. Then, I saw your video in the evening, and managed to do the passenger side in 1,5 hours with your tip about the clamps.

Thanks for posting your video. Autumn 2022 and just MOT'd my daughters 206cc and the only advisory was a split gaiter on a drop link. Just ordered two for £17 and will get on with it when it stops raining. Just a drive shaft seal to fix as well.

Great video as usual. Did this job on my last car a vauxhall corsa as it picked up an mot advisory. Thing is one side had what looked like a newish link the other side old. Naturally it was the older link with the issues. But I decided to replace both at the same time, best practice I understand to replace both sides on suspension/steering components. Did the old rusty one first bit of a fight but it came loose. Expected the newer one to come off easily. After a considerable amount of swearing and the use of an angle grinder it finally came off. Moral of this story it's not just the rusty crusty fixings that can cause issues. As a suggested video following the 206 theme how about a guide on jacking up and placing axle stands. Demo the various ways you would Jack up the 206 for various jobs. ATB Steve

Great video for 206cc also. My new SKF links started spinning during install. This made it very hard to install it tight.
@PiggyPower
@PiggyPower 4 жыл бұрын
You need to install without spinning as spinning wears the joint prematurely... Hold the joint by putting an Allen key/hex socket into the end of the threaded section or a spanner on the back if a slot has been made as part of the design. Then tighten the nut using a spanner 👍 🐷💪

I would be surprised to ever find a brand new set that are easy to move... It's just 'newness' to put it simply. Wear over time makes the cup the joint sits in enlarge... Eventually to the point it's so loose that it has play and knocks. The outer type which would be quite free when new would be high end rose jointed competition style drop links.
