The fact that we HAVE to do our GCSEs and then our grades could be wrong so then WE have to pay to get them remarked is actually disgusting. Even if the examiners are human and can’t be perfect they should be certain our grades are our grades.

For most exam boards you only have to pay if the appeal fails. If it is successful and they do change your mark you will not to have to pay.

@@fused4987 I hear you but like you have to pay for your request to even be processed tho. It’s so unfair for all the kids out there who can’t afford it but have been given unfair grades. I’m currently remarking a paper - my school luckily paid for it! Wish me luck!

my GCSE sociology paper the school trialed new computer software but it messed my exam up... I had to move laptops 3 times and my essays was jumbled and some of the answers I typed was missing. The school only put on the paper for special consideration but I don't feel this will be enough since I was predicted a 9... What can I do? Im really worried...

@@princessalisa_ I could be wrong though, heard about OCR also giving marks on their exams so it could be most exam boards. Think it's going to be evident on results. Either way, exams aren't life defining so don't feel bad if you were a couple of marks away from a grade :)

Daughter has a C and is two marks off a B in English lang, she got 104 on p1 dead on a C grade and 130 on p2 a mid B should we just mark paper 1 first as that was the lowest, and see what that throws up... if we do paper 2 at same time they could cancel eachother out. If she drops 54 marks to a D she could lose her place at uni. She has a confirmed place. You mention essay based subjects may lower marks but I understand that they only look at the marking to see if it is reasonable. Not remark the whole thing from fresh. If we mark p1 and it goes down would we have time to do p2. Help please

What about aqa a level chem paper 2 leak
@mk123772 жыл бұрын
I'd imagine not a lot will be done about that - exams get leaked every year (e.g. Edexcel maths A level was leaked 2017-2019), it happens and chances are it is not going to have as much of an impact on the grade boundaries as you think
@gemmabemma55542 жыл бұрын
@@mk12377 this was the entire paper... A large scale leak with thousands of views on tiktok should not be taken lightly... this was possibly the largest leak in a level history
@mk123772 жыл бұрын
@@gemmabemma5554 regardless of what you think, AQA have said that they will be counting the paper but checking for 'suspicious results'. I understand why you are worried, but there is nothing you can do and there is no point stressing about it. Besides, not all of those views are going to be from people actually taking chemistry, I would still imagine the majority of people sitting the exam had either not seen the questions or not seen/remembered enough to make more than a few marks difference. There were protests after the 2019 maths leak and yet the grade boundaries went significantly down from 2018 - don't think this will ruin your future because in all likelihood it will not make much difference to you personally. You can also take solace in the fact that grades for your year are still meant to be significantly more generous than 2019 anyway, so in comparison to every other year who has sat external exams you are still in a very good position
