Amazing stuff. This answered a lot questions. My first ceramic coating failed after about 6 months. I missed the step of cleaning the surface after polishing. I also used a coating from Amazon (which seemed to work well,) but I probably wouldn't risk using again.

I'm going to ceramic coat my wife's corolla this weekend. I'm going to use gtecniq csl coating now that I have some experience, can't wait to see how it looks. Prep is key

I am a big fan of #39. That is one product that absolutely works better than you'd think. Followed by Solution Finish and faded black plastics & trimwork look way better.

Matt is a no non-sense kinda guy, straight to the point. Very hard to find someone like him and a company such as Obsessed Garage. I wouldn't mind ordering from them in a split second if it weren't for the damn shipping fees. I live in Canada and it is very very expensive to have it ship here.

Should be in Canada by year end. That’s the goal.

One habit I try to do is keep the coating bottles in a tray and on a cart. It’s tempting to leave the bottle on the vehicle, and we all do it, but one spill and you will regret it, lol

Matt one question. My truck sits outside in the everyday elements. Would doing the paint correction and coating on one panel at a time be effective? I’m saying to actually let each panels coating cure before correcting the next panel. Long process I know but just trying to avoid contamination from the elements. Thanks brotha
@Ben-dv6ud2 жыл бұрын
That would work doing one panel at a time. Just make sure to decon every panel right before you correct and coat the panel you're doing at the time.

Matt mentioned how the towels you use when putting on a ceramic coating are trash after use? Can someone explain that some more to me and if there is any way to prevent that?
@ObsessedGarage2 жыл бұрын
They become hydrophobic as you are wiping off the excess coating from the application process. Meaning they become useless and not usable anymore, you can try to save them but its not worth it.

matt, does OG take on customer cars? Also, why did you choose to use a glass sealant instead of a glass coating here? what glass coating would you normally use/recommend?
@ObsessedGarage2 жыл бұрын
No, I don't. I only do my own cars.
