Actually people don't realise the importance of grip.When playing under-12 school cricket ,rather village cricket,if the original grip that wd come with the grip is torn off we had no alternative but to use our hand-kerchief readily available in the pant pockets, wrapping handle with it as a grip! We never knew that there was a CONE like thing! We only came to know about it only when I got selected for inter state schools went to Chennai(then Madras)in early '70s !! U have made a good video 📹! Bcz every small video matters in today's cricket world! Keep it up! ❤ 🏏

Vacuum method is great as long as there is not any sort of holes in the grip otherwise it won’t work in the vacuum

Is there any drills or exercises you can suggest that will help me make my bat feel lighter because I struggle to hit the big shots as it takes lots of time for me to get it up.

One good drill is to hold two bats together or you could look to add a second grip which may counterbalance the weight to make the bat feel lighter. Alternatively, you may consider looking for a lighter bat if you are finding it too heavy to maneuver.

Does the vacuum grip applicator work with all grips?? I can never get it to work with octopus grips. Or grips which have lumps and bumps all over them etc...

Yes... tip with an octopus grip is you need to apply tape around the seal at both ends of the applicator. With octopus grips, the air escapes if you don't form a seal with tape at each end.

Great video. Your vaccum applicator much better than the GM one. I bought the GM one and unfortunately doesnt work. I have tried to put tape around the applicator and vaccum it, no change. It doesnt stretch the grip at all. I have Octopus grip too. Any advise please on how to overcome this issue or do you sell the one like the one you have used in your video? Thanks for your help.

Hi there, unfortunately the one we have isn't available anywhere (we have had it many years). I will get our team to have a test with the GM applicator and octopus grip and come back to you as there should be a way to make it work!

Hi Aryaman, thanks for your question. You have two choices with removing your bat grip, if you are looking to keep the grip to use again then try and roll the grip up off the handle. If you are not bothered about the grip then you can always rip it off.

It is perfectly fine to cut the top of the grip to length and shouldn't damage the grip 🏏

It depends on what you define as a 'good bat'. Within the SF range, there are different models of bats, each with different grades of willow. Of course, if you are looking at a top of the range bat you can expect it to perform very well 👍
