i believe the swathe is supposed to go under the wrist as well to add some extra support

Tends to allow the swathe to slide down and come off the elbow if the one side is run under the wrist to cradle the extremity. This video is the proper NREMT standard.

@@mikeinglett3994 There is no "proper NREMT standard"... that's not actually a thing. Anything that a school felt met the skills sheet criteria is considered a pass for EMT. Same with written exam. There are different ways of splinting in different main EMT books and NREMT takes them all into account when writing test questions.
