clean non greasy is always the best-the company says to pre top coat it-but I actually never do-I wait and seal at the end

Hi, does my newly painted furniture piece need to be unwaxed or without topcoat before applying the transfer? And how about a piece of furniture previously painted and waxed months ago? BTW beautiful work!

C J yes you want the wax finish to be the last step, if you have a puce with wax-I would try light sand and then apply

Yes you can just apply to wood then apply clear sealer

Make sure you use a non yellowing sealer-my favorite is Big Top by DIY paint-I’ve even used clear wax (but it’s def not as durable
