I use a butane torch to run over the top of the butter and melt it. Then dip my middle and fore fingertips in the melted butter, rub with thumb then use those three fingers to work into the beard, starting at one ear and working my way around to the other, Melting makes the stuff go into the beard very easily and evenly. Easy to work in. Some butter melt right in your hand, others are much harder like wax, those are the ones I use the torch on.

I was at the local Wal-Mart about 1/2 a year ago and was in the hair care aisle looking for basic head shampoo (for my head, not my beard). I noticed there was a security camera and I pointed to my year-long beard and then raised my hands as if to question why they didn't have any product on the shelves. I went back about a month ago and noticed they now stock beard care products. Coincidence? I think not. Needless to say, I don't buy that drivel that they sell but buy from Beard Baron instead. If you could get a deal with WM, that'd be great!

I envy you for being able to pull that comb so easily through your beard. I have that same comb, but it won't get through my beard at all.

I’m like you. I don’t waste my products. Whatever is left on my hands goes into whatever’s left of my hair. And on my skin.

You mentioned you were using beard BUTTER but all the butter products I've seen are far more like "whipped" butter or thick lotion. You looked like you had to scrape it out like balm?

Hey John I got a question. Does beard butter need to be stored in a refrigerator on a daily basis to keep its consistency or can it be stored in a room temperature environment?

My beard gets a little wild because I do not cut it at all. Will the beard butter help keep the lose strands tight?

But if beard butter has beeswax in it and you rub that all the way to the skin under your beard, won't that clog the pores?

How long it took you to grow your beard that length ?
@thebeardbaron4 жыл бұрын
Great Question! I've had my beard long for many years now, and just trim it to length. However, I would say that the length in this video is probably eight months of growth.

So if I understand this correctly, I no longer need both beard oil and balm, just butter. If you create butter in the Fireside scent, I may bite. Loved your blog trip to Palm Springs BTW. Must have been great to get away from all the Northeasters!
@thebeardbaron6 жыл бұрын
What you need will depend on what you personally like or care for in terms of feel and control. I still use all 3 depending on the circumstances.

I have been using balm in the AM and oil at night. My beard gets dry if I don't use oil. Since beard butter has more shea butter and less wax, it seems like a good middle product.
