Thank you! This was so helpful! I would have never thought of the smoother or using a pin to get the air out of bubbles. I searched and found this video to learn how to make corners neat, so thanks for that as well! Can’t wait to get my project done…hopefully without too much frustration! (P.S. I have that same…or incredibly similar…IKEA desk. I love it, but the black color can suck the light out of a room, especially one that is a little dark to begin with. Very sturdy and tolerates being taken apart and put back together when moving multiple times, I can attest to that!! But, it’s also very heavy for moving…but heavy and sturdy for having a good quality product!) Anyway, thanks so much for the tips and the quick video showing what to use and how to use it.

excuse me miss, have you tried using a hair dryer on the corners? it provides better adhesion. however, thats for vinyl film... im bout to try it with contact paper. so we will see what happens

The biggest problem I have with contact paper is getting it started peeling it from the backing! I waste soooo much time trying to start it peeling at any corner! Any help or suggestions on this? Thank you!!

they sell sticker backing cutters that are only sharp enough to cut through the backing,, that should be helpful w this!

dear lord, I know this is trying to be helpful, but so many things wrong. those sheets are made in a repeat pattern, they line up if placed correctly.
