Hello! Can silicone primers work for double wear POWDER foundation?

@@ciggytwiggy yes but you want a thin layer of primer and let it sit for a minute. Just like any powders if you put it on too wet or damp skin it could be patchy. So I would stick to putting primers just in areas you need them but not the whole face. Hope that makes sense and works out if you try it!

No matter how many foundations I try, double wear remains the only one I truly truly love. Nothing else comes close for me! I have dry skin as well but with a primer and applying it with my hands, it just looks perfect 😍 it doesn’t budge and sits so nicely over my larger pores too ❤

I've used double wear since the 70s, tried other brands but have always returned to DW. When young (I'm 74 now) my skin was very oily but is now normal and I can attest that it last all day whether on oily or normal skin. Now that I'm older I do use a similar technique that you show in this video using a maybelline spray to lighten the coverage and it works well. I use olay dry cleansing cloths to completly remove this foundation easily! Thanks for the video. Donna

It's more medium coverage than full but can be built up. I don't find it cakey or heavy-duty at all. It's an amazing foundation that's stood the test of time.

I love love😂double wear and it is definitely the best foundation hands down! No other foundation has the staying power that it has through humidity, heat or any type of climate! You can wear it as light or buildable as you like. The only foundation that has even come close to it for me is the Chanel Ultra Flawless Finish. It is The most amazing foundation and it doesn’t oxidize.

I like this foundation and would use it more if it didn’t flashback so badly! Such a shame as it’s a great foundation for oily skin but I’d now only wear it in the day as it’s not good for photography and nights out x

I have used Double Wear Matte Foundation in 5C and 5N since 1994. I have tried others more expensive ones and they do not work the same way.

I cannot find my colour match in double wear!. I’ve been shade matched 10 times and taken home samples and never match me when I look under sunlight. It’s either too yellow, too orange, too fair, too dark, too pink… no luck! :(

Skip concealer, and skip setting powder and setting spray for an even more natural look. And if you do use setting spray use it before applying foundation.

I want to love this foundation but it cracks and sits ontop of my skin on my nose. I tried 5 different primers (and none) and it's the same result. It sits nicely elsewhere though. I have spent 3 hours trying to fix it, taking it off, and reapplying it multiple times. I wasted a lot of time trying to get it to blend into my skin but it just sits ontop, gets splotches, emphasizes pores on my nose, etc. I really wanted to love this but it's not for me.
